However, even if the quality of the nails itself improved, we at LÓA have realized that the formulas and ingredients need work, so we decided to shake up the nail care industry by introducing non-toxic and planet-friendlier false nails.

NON-TOXIC NAIL GLUE

The nail glue ingredients are non-toxic to your nails and the environment and are suitable for manicure applications.

Each of our ingredients is carefully reviewed and individually tested for skin sensitivity and impact on the environment. We work to bring you the safest & cleanest formulas possible. We formulate non-toxic, effective and affordable products ’cuz clean beauty shouldn’t make you break the bank.

We are EU compliant by not using any of 1,400 beauty industry nasties (P.S. US bans only 11).

Our non-toxic nail glue is made from the following ingredients:

Cyanoacrylate: A medical-grade adhesive – our superglue that makes your manicure last.​

Polymethyl Methacylate: Acrylic Glass – often used in medical devices and dentist applications known for quick bonding at room temperature.​

BHA: Used widely in cosmetic industry due to its anti-inflammatory properties.

We're 10-FREE. WE ARE SAYING BIG NO TO: Dibutyl phthalate, TPHP, Toluene, Xylene, Ethyl tosylamide, Camphor, Formaldehyde resin, Parabens, Tert-butyl hydroperoxide and other nailcare nasties.

RECYCLED PRESS-ON NAILS

LÓA press on nails are made from recycled ABS plastic. We're loud & proud about it. We are the first-ever press on nails brand to transparently use recycled plastic in nails.

Our press-on nails are made from 94%+ PCR ABS plastic (If you ever wondered PCR stands for post-consumer-resin, aka recycled plastic).

ABS plastic is non-toxic and safe to use in beauty applications - same material as beloved lego cubes. It has a strong resistance to corrosive chemicals and physical impacts to withstand everyday wear and tear and for you to enjoy long lasting manicures. 

The material is easy to shape too - so you can easily buff the nails like your own and further customise them with polish. They are also polish-remover proof.

At LÓA NAILS we are trying our best to deliver best possible experience and sustainable solutions. We are not perfect, but we are committed year after year to further reduce our footprint by developing better packaging solutions and working with responsibly sourced materials.

REUSABLE PRESS-ON NAILS

Our press-on nails are made of high quality durable ABS plastic and are totally reusable with short wear, and if you are not too hard on your hands you can reuse them with long wear too! Gently buff off the glue residue from the back of the nails, desinfect with rubbing alcohol and they are good as new!

HOW TO RECYCLE PRESS-ON NAILS

Once they lived their best life, here are some tips on how to retire them to minimize the impact on the planet;

NAIL TRAY DISPOSAL

PET trays are recyclable through the majority of local curbside recycling programs.

PAPER PACKAGING DISPOSAL
Coated carton boxes are widely recyclable through local curbside recycling programs.

NAIL AND GLUE DISPOSAL
Nail glue and press-on nails are too small to be re-cycled. Please dispose the glue and the used nails into your household bin.

We are currently evaluating a range of non-virgin and bio materials to improve our footprint and bring Eco-friendly(er) solutions in the near future.

We are PETA certified cruelty free and vegan brand. In order to be listed as animal test–free by PETA’s Beauty Without Bunnies program, we were required to sign statement of assurance that nor we nor our suppliers conduct, commission, pay for, or allow any tests on animals for ingredients, formulations, or finished products anywhere in the world and won’t do so in the future. Along with statement of assurance we needed to submit a detailed paperwork to PETA that describes how we test our ingredients, formulations and products, where they are sold, what kinds of ingredients we use. 

Our press on nails brand is not only gentle to you, your skin & the planet, but are also strong, durable (they will stay 14 days on) & fabulous.
